AVOHS Award Nomination Procedures
Only former recipients of the K. F. Meyer / James H. Steele Gold-Headed Cane award are eligible to submit nominations to the AVOHS Executive Director.
1. Any candidate for the Gold-Headed Cane Award must be a past recipient of an AVOHS Honorary Diploma to be eligible.
2. Only one candidate for the Gold-Headed Cane Award and two candidates for the Honorary Diplomas will be accepted from each nominator.
3. Nominations close at the end of March for that award year.
4. A committee formed of Gold-Headed Cane awardees will make the final selection of all awards in late April of each year.

Nomination Packet--
* Detailed cover letter by the nominator outlining why you feel that the candidate is deserving of the respective AVOHS award (Cane, Diploma, or Early Achievement).
* Updated C.V. of the candidate.
* High resolution (minimum 200 dpi) head shot photo JPG image of the nominee.
* Additional letters of support are requested but not mandatory (not more than three).
* Send all nominations electronically to the Executive Director, Dr. John Poppe at: exec.dir@avohsociety.org
